How much down payment is required for a home loan in India?
As per RBI guidelines, banks can finance a maximum of 75–90% of the property value depending on the loan amount:
- Loan up to ₹30L: up to 90% LTV (10% down payment)
- ₹30L–₹75L: up to 80% LTV (20% down payment)
